Portable CD players

We finally broke down and bought a CD burner, and decided to try a portable player with a "car kit" after a friend tried one.

Picked up a JVC with the kit-pretty standard, 45 sec skip delay, no bells and whistles.
Thing works pretty well! No skipping, sounds terrific thru my elderly tape player. Only downside is the forest of wires you have running around, but we got a nylon case that keeps everything pretty well organized.
Nice alternative for someone who hasn't the bucks to switch over to a full in-dash CD player.
 
A friend of mine has a model that plays through the FM radio. You simply put the radio on the proper frequency and you can hear your cd's. I have been considering the purchase of one to put in my patrol car. Anyone have any experience with these?
