portable chainsawblade dealys

Do you mean the pocket chainsaw? If so, they work well but not well enough to replace a quality axe or bucksaw.

They are OK, but you will find that even a $12 sliding Fiskars/Gerber will work better, nevermind a good Silky.

For packing small, the pocket chainsaws work way better than the little wire saws. For out of reach or hard to get to places they can't be beat. For serious work around the place a real saw of any kind is better...unless you use it as part of your workout routine. I got a Supreme for Christmas and it's a handy tool. Now I want a Saber Cut to try out.

My pocket chainsaw worked pretty well but dulled more quickly than other saws I own. I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to sharpen it. I use a Silky Super Accel 210 most of the time, unless I need to cut big stuff.

The Pocket Chainsaw or the Saber Cut Survival Saw work well for what they are intended; cutting down a small or medium sized tree. You can even cut a large tree with the Saber Cut if it is used by two people. For those tasks, a Pocket Chainsaw or Saber Cut are ideal. But for anything less, a good hatchet or a Silky saw will do the same faster.
