Portland, OR area get together

I've heard of all of these 'other edged-tools forums' having a get-together and showing things off, as well as each taking a little token and exchanging it (challenge coins, patches, cheap knives, lanyards, tools, stickers, etc).
I was thinking, there should be one for the Portland area, in Oregon.
Although I'm a little further away, I thought the big city would be a good meeting area. I'd set everything up, finding a neutral venue, coordinating things, etc.
What do you guys think though? This is open to anyone really, who wants to come. Obviously, you probably want to be somewhere close. Here's the areas I'm thinking of: Portland, Gresham, Clackamas County, Oregon City, Beavercreek, Beaverton, Aloha, Hillsboro, Cornelius, Forest Grove, Dundee, Tigard, Tualatin, Reedville, Milwaukee.
Those are sort of within 45 minutes or so of Portland, and depending on where people are from, we can shift the location slightly.

KNIFE GET TOGETHER. WHAT'S BETTER THAN THAT? MEET SOME FELLOW KNIFE-KNUTS! PLAY WITH DIFFERENT KNIVES. WOOHOO!!!!

I'd love to touch a Chris Reeve, cuz I don't like the look. Testimonials and magazine articles swear handling one will change how you see Knives forever.

Good to hear from knife fans in the area. I live in Wilsonville, and I would be interested in such an event. Thanks for offering to coordinate it.

You live locally?
I've got to admit. I don't have such great knives.. If you'd like to see mine, you can check out my Instagram. If you don't, here's a list:
Kershaw: OD Blur, DS Blur, S30V Blur, Tan/Black Leek, 4x Scallion
Benchmade: Gripitilian, 940, 7hook x2
ZT: 0350TS
CRKT : Stiff Kiss Tanto
Gerber: mini-lst (Portland-made version, not the new Chinese).
LoneWolf (Benchmade-made) Mini-Landslide Prototype

If I can get around 5 or so people, I'll start setting something up for sure. I think that's a good number since everyone can keep track of their stuff, bring enough quality goodies to trade, and have a good time, and conversation. I feel like more would be almost too much, for a first event.

I live in Canby, and would be interested in a get together. I always love an opportunity to meet some new knife nuts! :-)

I don't have a super expensive collection either. No high end customs or anything. Here is some of the stuff I might bring.

ZT: 0600, 0700, 801
Survive Knives!: gso 4.1
Kershaw: Skyline, vapor, camp 10, camp 18, Whiplash, cpm d2 leek
ESEE: Izula
Ontario: Small machete
Schrade: Small survival necker

And a few other knives that are less well known.

Would anybody be interested in seeing some kitchen knives? I picked up a nice custom set at the OKCA show that I could bring.

Wherever the venue is, I would check with the owner before hand. We don't want anybody freaking our from our arsenals ;)

I live by the N. wilsonville exit. I only have 4 blades, but I'd be happy to get together if schedules line up.

My own collection is pretty low-end, but if things sync up right I'd like to drop by. I'm in Molalla.

Maprik and myself have a knife get together planned June 29th in lake oswego.

Did it last year and it was a blast. 2nd annual blade and BBQ. Tons of knives there. Everybody is welcome. You can check my previously started threads for all the details. If you look back a little further you can see the info and pictures from last year.

Not saying this to derail wcedc in anyway. I would be down for a 2nd meet up for sure. Especially if I didn't have to do any work lol.

Guys please come to our GTG on June 29th. It's a blast and you'll meet some great people. I was a knife newbie last year and I learned so much from some of the old timers that showed up. There will be a lot of knives and people will come from as far south as Eugene and Bend and from the north (Seattle). We will be in East Waluga Park in Lake Oswego from 3:30pm - 9pm. Bring your BBQ and blades.

I'm in Eugene! Can I bring some titanium swords?

Just to let everyone know, go for Maprik and PortlandReign81's event.
I'll plan later in the year, for those of us who weren't able to go.
After following a few of y'all on IG, I'm a little concerned that what I'll bring will be ... disappointing to say the least.. They're mainly budget production knives. Oh well! I guess it's the best I can do.
