I'll be attending a wedding up there in July. Looked briefly at there laws..they are all over the board..seems they are scared of everything there.
So I guess a spring assist is out of the question.
Am I safe just taking my Kershaw Shuffle then?
Thanks.

Not sure where you heard that info! Spring assist knives are legal. Basically any knife is legal as long as its not double edged. Just make sure you have a pocket clip showing, cuz that makes it "not concealed".

No need to be so concerned. Full concealment of a folder is fine, even spring-assist.

Here's the statute:

And here's a good explanation of the case law on the books.

I would advise people to stop repeating the myth that a visible pocket clip makes a knife unconcealed. This is not something the courts have ruled on in most jurisdictions, and in many cases either unnecessary (because full concealment is legal) or inviting trouble (because some cops are dumb and don't know the law; best not to give them an invitation).

Here's Portland's City ordinances. Contains no knife-specific regulations:

Yeah, where did OP get this can't carry anything idea for Oregon? You are pretty much good to go on whatever as long as you aren't trying to cause a problem.

You can carry auto knives.. so go ahead and carry your spring assisted knife...

Ok. Well, I guess KnifeRights better update their info than.
Thanks all.
