Possibility of blackout for Espada or other models

Does anyone know if the Espada blade and screws, lock bar etc can be blacked out like the old ones used to come in XHP?
If so can anyone recommend someone that can do the work?

Also are there limitations to DLC coating any particular models?

We used Richter Precision at the former Cold Steel R&D shop. Also they did some of my personal items. They did excellent work. Not sure of prices as that was a few years ago.

DLC can be applied to most metals. High and low carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, copper, brass etc..

The XL Espada ended up coming back in ‘blackout’ with AUS10. Can’t wait to get one. Thanks for the help again

It’s a great knife, love mine as is, actually prefer it much more than the polished one. If they put the S35VN blade in the same frame I‘d def get another one.

That would be great! I still have yet to find the difference between S35VN and XHP, and I have a few of each. Anyway either of those on the G10 Espada XL in blackout or OD/black blade and I would buy probably 2 of each. For now I would like to get the blackout AUS10 so I’ll be putting aside funds for that soon. Knife Center sold out during the sale they just had but I know of another spot where they are around the same price and don’t charge sales tax if you’re outside of VA. So that’s where I’ll be getting one, and I am keeping my fingers crossed these aren’t limited runs.
