Possible Ainu Knife?

I found this knife recently at a small local auction, and am puzzled.
It suggests Ainu, but the sheath is bone and the handle is wood, which seems to be out of family.
Also the toggle is crudely carved as a wolf/dog/bear's head, which I cannot see elsewhere.
The whole thing is very crudely carved.
Any assistance would be most welcome.
Many thanks.
I've had to put the link in-line as I can't register with Imgur (uk based?).
If the links don't work for you please let me know if there's another way to share the pictures

Definitely an Ainu Makiri.
But no idea as to how old, originial or reproduction.
The Netsuke is likely a fox. It is passed under the sash/belt to hold the dangling Makiri in place.

Very interesting knife. Everyone can create art, but not everyone has artistic ability! I am one of the latter, and I am in awe of those who can give a personality to wood and clay.

These are informative on ainus knives.

ainu knife?

Thanks for the tip. I've had a good look through a lens, and the sheath clearly shows black streaks. So bone, not tusk.
The fox netsuke is not so clear, but from its shape I suspect it's made from a vertebra.
Thank you all again for being so generous with your time and knowledge.

The sheath does not look like bone to me.
The "black streaks" could be small cracks in the ivory.
What you are speaking of in bone are called Haversian canals and are often mistaken in old ivory as bone.
I would have it confirmed.
Very nice old knife.
