Amici,
Upon reading many posts about basic PMCS regarding EKI knives, I recently field stripped a 2012 waveless CQC 7 to remove any of the fabled gunk and other possible nasty stuff left over from its initial production to much success. They really don't require a Masters to do so and I was able to complete the task in a matter of a few minutes.
Here's my question, now taking into consideration that this particular CQC 7 was beginning to break in quite easy to my surprise, but still the lock up would stick just a little. After I cleaned it using a Tuff-cloth and spray all parts with copious amounts of Tuff-Glide and reassembled it, I noticed something. When the blade is flipped open it does lock up securely with no wiggle or any other sort of blade play. But when I'm ready to close it, there is NO sticking whatsoever. Almost like flicking off a light switch if you get me.
I just thought I would ask the forum to make sure that I did reassemble it correctly, and not have made some sort of goof regarding the washers or possibly something else.
Cheers,
Serge
