You are also likely to see counterfeit Boker/S&W/CS/BM........

If they sell cheap (but often with high delivery tag) the alarm bells should ring. If near genuine price then ask for pics - the fakes won't always 100% match with genuine but I don't know any way of determining they're definitely fakes other than by buying one and seeing for yourself.

A quiet word with an appropriate LE (fraud) agency may be worthwhile

This should really be in "TGB&U" forum

Its hard to tell whats really going on from those threads, it does seem a bit fishy though.

I've placed a thread here at first, but since there is not 100% sure that they are fakes I put it one here too, but if does doesn't not really belong here, I'll please ask a mod to move it or delete it!

I've contacted the seller too in AR15, he offered also another karambit than the one that is SPF, and he sold another one there maybe 2 weeks ago so it's kind of strange!

He could be a dealer though, but at that prices for a dealer it's kind of low...at least I've never saw that low!

I noticed this because I'm looking for a karambit myself...
Their price tags are not way off second hand market too.. however the quantity is not very usuall for a regular collector!

I agree it dosnt look 100% legit but its hard to say for sure.

If you can get pics that are not a "stock" photo from them they will help identify any fakes.
(as long as the pics are of the actual item for sale:rolleyes:)

I'll try to do that!
Yeah.. the real sure was handling one, but I'm not much into buying him one just to find it out for the team :D

the screw placement and logos look odd to me, but is there anything that indicates they are indeed fakes?

Darklight/Daemonium name Gustavo.

I have had more than over 50 Emerson knives on hand. a few AR-15.com members have bought more than 3 Emerson knives from me in the pass and never had a problem.

Water,

I guess then you will not mind posting some close ups pictures from some of your blades with boxes and papers, to clear up all our minds here...

Nothing against you, might be coincidence, but after a user in glocktalk reporting a possible fake inova, after he asked to back up a sale and you offered another, now happened the same with me with a karambit - saw you listing only 1 karambit.. and you were offering me a 3rd one by PM! Asked for production date and serial number plus papers and box, and you just replyed that you wouldn't ship overseas (when 2 weeks back I asked you about the 1st karambit and you did ship it overseas)...

Maybe this is a lot of coincidences, or it's just me beeing cautious...
If you are selling legit stuff, then you have my public apologies, but if you are not I'll definitely make an efford to warn other sellers!

I've dealt with "water" a few times and he's a great seller and
I've never got a fake and I know my Emersons. I would
deal with Chi again in a heartbeat.
I've dealt with darklight too(thanks for the 8) and he's
a great guy to deal with...

yerscattergun thanks for posting it up!

Has Haze said, probably this is a missunderstanding from my part then!
Hope Water don't take it personally, as I said a lot of factores contributed in a coincidencie but probably I was beeing overcautious.

Thanks for the reply. It may sound a little corny but all
of us do alot of trading and selling on a few forums
and it's nice to know people are watching out for
potential frauds and fakes....

I myself have dealt with Water many times in the past. He and I like to trade Emersons back and forth.
There are no worries about dealing with him and his knives.

FYI most of the fakes have been 2000 commanders the trox srcrews in the handle are usally the first clue.

It's alright. I don't take it personally. As long as everyone understands that I would never sell fake items. yerscattergun and thebladerunr, thanks for clearing up the matter. I greatly appreciate it.

Hey Water looks Like you have some good Prices on those. Good luck.. Have a great Holiday Season!
