Possible exotic elements for new custom blade

I am communicating with a maker who has already produced a fancy double blade for me, with somewhat exotic materials (though I have since discovered some even stranger substances lol) It has san mai etched and fired blades and timascus scales.

This will be twin bladed parallel, with 2 timascus scales, mokume cane finger guard, and pearl pommel.

What I really want advice about is regarding the blade materials. There will be two different materials. We have discussed gold damascus laminate, and blue damascus. Is there a blue damascus laminate. Also, he has brought up cu mai. I understand this is valuable, but I'm not sure I'm really into it. Can it be very shiny. For the most bang for my buck, which of these three is most precious? I have already paid, so anything can be negotiated. .

Would anyone care to recommend another material for the blades, which might be very striking, rare, precious or exotic?
