I purchased a Kershaw 7200 D2 on ebay (yeah, i know i should have known better) but things seem off... Is there are sure way for me to tell if the knife is authentic or not?

Here are my points of contention...

First, the knife says made in USA but the box says made in China.
Second, it feels really flimsy compared to the rest of my Kershaw automatics.
Third, it looks like these are being sold on aliexpress and other sites for about half the price that I paid.
Finally, the seller has not responded to my emails asking to confirm that the product is genuine.

I am probably going to have to start a dispute through ebay but wanted to have more evidence than what I listed above. I could also be wrong so...

Thanks in advance!

We might be more help if you could post some pictures of the knife. There are definitely fake Kershaw Launch series knives out there, the Launch 2 being foremost among them as its one of the more popular models.

Kershaw has this to say about fakes and counterfeits

A good rule of thumb is to avoid knives on the Bay. I now also avoid knives on the Big River. Stick with reputable dealers like those who support Blade Forums.

interestingly, the seller just accepted my return so I think I'm at least going to get my 40 bucks back... going to leave some feedback around the counterfeit though...

thanks for the good advice!
