Dave Bowen is heading out here tomorrow along with his wife for a bit before going back to dallas/fort worth. hopefully it turns into a mini HI but only minus quench oil. too bad Luke (swede2207) has to work tomorrow or he would be out here too. this is such an honor for me to have Dave Bowen here at my shop. which reminds me i need to do some cleaning up before they get here. also its him and his wifes anniversary this weekend. sometime after blade, probably after central texas knife show, ill be heading to mike lovetts shop to pick his brain and learn some new stuff. i cant wait. if anyone in the san antonio, helotes, kerrville, boerne, hondo or surrounding areas is not busy tomorrow feel free to come on out while i got the forge warmed up and have a few cold beers with us. contact info is in my signature and also in my profile.
he said he plans to make another trip down here to san antonio because he still has a few things he needs to do. i just hope he brings his fishing gear and if he has a boat he can bring it too. the lake is up and you are now able to launch your boats. we also have a pool and hot tub in the neighborhood. i want to do a mini hammer-in and will schedule it a month or month and a half ahead of time to allow people to make plans. ill need to see if i cant get luke to bring his forge with him so we can have 2 going at the same time. ill provide sodas and some beer and also water but for food we can go into town and get churches chicken or something. i will probably setup a rope cutting competition and maybe setup some 2x4's also. the guy with the worst time who competed will buy lunch.
