Possible thumbstud swap...Direkt to M Type?

I love my M Type, but the thumbstud style just doesn't quite do it for me in terms of consistent opening. I think that the stepped cone style studs on the Direkt would be much more to my liking. Does anyone know if the two studs are the same diameter, and would it possible to swap them?

^^ Same here :)! I'd like the stud on the "M" to be a bit rounded too like on the Direkt. Something more forgiving on the thumbs and less obtrusive when cutting or re-sharpening.
