Possible to increase edge angle?

Yes. As soon as you start sharpening at the higher angle you will be creating a microbevel, so just continue on until the original bevel is fully replaced. It's MUCH easier to go more obtuse than it is to thin it out, just based on how much metal you have to remove.

Yes,,, what are you trying to accomplish? You can just add a microbevel,,, that will solve most issues like a weak edge, etc. There's usually no need to sharpen out the lower angle completely.
 
Sharpening at the higher angle will eventually will replace the lower angle, but to do it all at once takes off a lot of steel. You'll have a double bevel for a while, but it's not worth taking off all that metal, at least to me.
 
Just every time you sharpen it sharpen at desired angle until that angle becomes main angle. I am doing it with my delica. 12dps for winter chores and this morning I sharpened to 16 for summer work. Micro bevel now but by end of summer it'll be main edge
