Some people will probably ask "what is he thinking?" But that's why I come here, to gain wisdom. I acquired a Spyderco Tasman salt a few months ago in a trade. Its a great blade, don't get me wrong but, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for though. Anyway, I put it up for trade on craigslist and a guy wants to trade me a Ka-bar ZK famine tanto for it. Its not exactly what Im looking for either but I figure Im gonna trade and then trade again later. So what are your thoughts? Idiot move or non issue? Oh and the Ka-bar in question doesn't have the original sheath but I was going to have a kydex one made anyway.

IMO the Tasman is better trading fodder so you'd have more luck trading into something you really want using it

I wouldn't, but I love my tasman. I carry mine as a backup to my regular edc all the time and use it quite a bit. Start carrying it and using it some. Once you see how well to works you might change your mind.

The more I think about it, the more im leaning towards this thought process. Im seemingly more reluctant about this trade anyway. As far as when/if I do trade it, what's a good price point or quality point to look at trading it for if in lightly used condition?
