thanks for the contest,
I help people out for my own heart and spirit and to me sometimes just a thank you is enough and I wasn't even asking for that.

One bad I had to drive to Springfield Mo for a Dr's follow up. My wife and I noticed a gentleman sitting on a guard rail for a bridge in a big hollar. My wife and I both kinda looks at each other and one of us said what do you think and the other one said turn around, he could be there all day. Not try to offend anyone this man was black in the middle of hillbilly, redneck hell so we went back got him and took him to the northeast corner of town so he could keep on his way to K C. he ask if I was a vet, No I am not, were you? yeah, back in the 70' well ok , didn't talk much , he feel asleep on he ride.

not much just what we can, if we can, when we can. We were going that way and a few extra miles through the city didn't take much time.

Thanks Rock,& all the other service men & women we're fortunate to have!

Over the years I've sent a few care packages to our troops & although it never felt like it was enough,I'm sure they were appreciated.

One I remember most was when I placed a Geocache called "Letters from Home".
I asked the finders of the cache to not just sign & date the log book, but to also include a note of thanks to the troops that would be sent to them.

It went to Iraq with the son of a friend of mine & he passed it around over there for the folks to read.
He said that kind of stuff really cheers the troops up & that they all got a smile on thier faces while reading it.
