I'm pretty good with a computer. The forum thing is new to me. I have figured out the avatar (kind of), signature, ect. but how do you post a pic ?
As i look through the forum, there are nice big pics, mine are by attatchment per reply page. I tried copying a pic and then paste it after my message, but it does not let me. Not sure how your doing it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks !!!
 
Use html code to post pictures.
 
If you don't have a website or other place to park a picture, get a photobucket account. Then, put the link to the pic in the
 
also if you upload a pic to imageshack it will give you a forum code you can copy and paste...
 
so i have imageshack because i read some guys on this forum had trouble with viruses from photo bucket. at any rate i uploaded the pic to image shack, then there was a code for posting on forums. I copied that code and put it in the tag box on the thread starter ( only tag box i seen, did not specify image) and this is the message that came up after i tried to save thread...You specified a tag that was too long. A tag can only be 25 characters. a little more help ?
 
right click on the picture you want to post, go to 'copy image location', then type
and the picture will be there when you post
 
example, i am going to leave out the bracket on the beginning here, I found a picture I want to post in this thread, I right clicked on it and selected "copy image location", i came back to this page and enter:

img]http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/EagerJeeper/thread_is_worthless.jpg[/img]

I have left off the first [ so that you can see.

How come we can't post photos directly onto this site? I belong to other forums that let members post pictures this way.
 
thanks for your help, i apreciate it, but i must be dense because i cant get it to work. sounds like you pretty much spelled it out for me, simple as 1 2 3 but when i right click on the image in image shack my option is copy or save not "copy location". none the less the example you gave is more than 25 characters, so not sure how your doing it. i keep getting this message.....The following errors occurred with your submission:
You specified a tag that was too long. A tag can only be 25 characters. at any rate i really do apreciate your help im sure im screwing up something simple. ive got a friend who is a member of the s/w forum, im sure he will be able to help me (show me)

make sure you are have the full size image open, not the thumbnails. If there are options below the thumbnail picture like some other picture hosting places have, select the html option, or the image option, the code will have
 
Photobucket is not giving anyone viruses. The one person who started a thread asking about that was mistaken.

Once you have a picture in Photobucket, they give you a choice of URLs. I use the fourth and last version, which has [ img ] tags already in place. I Copy that and Paste it in my post where I want it.

Bladeforums will allow you to upload from your computer, but you need to be a paying member to do so, and there are restrictions on size and the number of pictures you can post here. Photobucket is actually easier (for me).

The "Tag" box has nothing to do with posting pictures, that is your problem right there. It is for adding search tags to the thread.

Just do as others have said (post the

My friend, you are not alone. I've tried the URL route, the upload route, two different photo upload sites. Zilch.
