Hi Guys,

I had some O1 @ .110 thick and had it hardened before grinding the bevels. I read somewhere, not here, that thin stock will warp if ground before heat treat. I use fresh belts and dip the blade after each pass. I am pleased with the results.

I was wondering how many of you grind after heat treating and up to what thickness do you reach diminishing return.

On my folders and pretty much anything else 1/8" or less I grind all of them after heat treat.

I grind all after heat treat. Some are up to say.145 but all folder blades. I start my grinding at 120. The 60grit seems to overdo things too quickly for me.
