You can do it a few ways:
Upgrade your membership to Gold, and then you can attach smaller images that are both less than 100kb, or no larger than 800x600, (So you need to do some editing on your own.)
Or you can host the images on a photo hosting site (Imageshack, Photobucket, Fototime, etc...) and link to the images (which can be larger) using the 'attach image' button in the posting window.
This question comes up often, and should be in Service and Support, BTW.
It really needs to be a sticky or we need a Wiki post for this.
