I've been browsing the forums for a while, But this is my first post. I'd love to see some other Laguioles.
On a trip to france a few years back, I went to the town where the laguiole is made. If you don't already know, Laguiole is a type of traditional french knife and they are manufactured by several different companies. I chose to visit forge de laguiole and after watching them make knives for a while I picked this up. Its a user so its a little scratched up.

I don't own any Laguiole since the handle is usually a bit too thin for my taste, but I always thought they were amazing knives.
That is to say, I'm going to enjoy this thread alot :)

I have to say that I agree the handle is a bit on the thin side, but then again it's not really a hard use french knife like an opinel or a peasants knife. I think it makes a good gents folder.

Nice Laguiole. I had one, but my wife claimed it. She uses it at work during lunch to cut fruits and such.

Can't take pics or post them..BUT the three Fontenille-Patauds I own are some of the best made knives. Ram's Horn, Smooth Bone,Walnut.

All stainless construction, polished or matte-no brass bolsters or linings. They are locking knives(some of them) and although the handle is narrow they are thick handles exceptionally well fitted and radiused, no rough edges on the liners etc. a joy to hold and use.

Wow, I really like all of them! I'll try to find a picture of my dads old one. Its gotta be 30 years old.
keep em coming!

I've got one my sister in law gave me for xmas one year and I really love the knife, it's my go to knife for when we go out to eat, it's elegant, non threatening, sheeple friendly and actually a pretty tough knife for EDC use, (works great on cheese and bread too).

I'll take a pic and post it next time I go in my box-o-knives.

My wife dragged me into 'Anthropologie' this past weekend and they had Laguiole steak knives for sale. Yes, folding French steak knives...

Same here. I've got to have at least one of those. I was looking at the steak knives online just the other day. Unfortunately, I have some good steak knives already and don't need 6 or 8 more steak knives.

I really like this one jacktrades posted above:
