I did get fine shavings to light several times and then go out.
I am going to try adopting this technique fo creating very fine
shavings next time out.

Thanks Mark, super fun seeing them actually go up! And very cool to get some comments too!!
I have to take some comparison shots yet and definitely can't wait til I can line a few in a row out.

Maniacal Pete, I hope you have great success on your next attempt!! I was surprised how thin some can get;
super light touch, especially when on any edge. It will almost be like your making saw dust sometimes; and
no worry if some curls aren't to long and fall off, there all going to get cut off and piled any way

Enjoy the rest of you weekend guys

I had a fun little experimental thread I put up in the WSS forum here -

But here are a few shots with my Bushfinger. Still love this knife. Beautiful design Andy!! From deer to backyard Bushcraftin, it does it all.

Hi. Im new to knife collecting and I was wondering what kind of knife that is?
Gentlemen, it's been pretty quiet around here other than the typical FB purchases. So while grillin up some chicken tenders tonight, I grabbed a few sticks and my BF:

And the after (they are not the prettiest but a guy has got to start somewhere):

Please, don't dig out some pics from weeks or months ago. Go get your knife and slice up some fresh sticks! This could be fun if you have never tried. If you are a master, then show off your work!
