Post up your Becker Families!!! (CHAT THREAD)

I think Bladite makes most Beckerheads jealous. I guess I don't have a pic of all of mine together, so I'll have to work on that.

Here is my collection plus a HK P7M8 & Springfield V12. The Divtool and Blackmoor are BlackJack Lovin'.

don't be jealous, donate :)

when you've been buying Beckers for 30 years... well...

As sweet as his collection is though, I personally don't know what I would do with that many of the same blade.

I guess because I'm not a collector, and because I think my wife would divorce if I had that many blades. I just personally have a hard time with redundant blades, even if its not an exact replica, if its the same purpose I have a hard time with them. For instance, I have a War Sword, and a BK9. I'm seriously considering getting rid of the War Sword because the 9 basically takes its place, and its better at most things anyway.

Anyone else have the problem, or is it just me?

just you. i don't have a wife ;)

many of them are not users, NIB, and represent an amusement for me... so, there you go. collect the whole set. like coins. cheaper though :)

Don't get me wrong, I love to see the collection you have.

I was just wondering if anyone else had a hard time with the redundant blades thing. Its like I need a different use case for each blade for my to justify them for some reason.

You name your Beckers guy names? If I have something that I am going to hold in my hand, well, it's gonna be a chick. :D

In fairness, Zardoz is neither a guy nor a girl name - it's the name of a weird yet weirdly enjoyable Sean Connery movie. The Olsen Twins are both female. Old Man Caruthers was the typical masked villain from Scooby Doo and could end up being just about anyone (male or female) once the mask came off. Lord Montclair "Slippery Pete" Whitherspoon - ok, you got me on that one.

two is one and one is none, isn't that how the phrase goes?

One is one, two is two, three is one million according to my sensei. If he has to show me something more than twice I get punched, it's a pretty effective learning tool.

Depends though some of them one is enough, others I liked to have stashed here and there, 11's and 14's are cheap, one in the truck one in the bob a few extras to mod. The out of production ones are a bit harder to justify multiples of though. I'd like to have a couple more 77's and LE10's stashed away but my wallet won't cooperate with me about it.

That is in fact a BK8 there Nick. Got to see that bad boy in person at the last gathering. It is a unique blade. Logan, you are not alone my friend. Had a hard time with that for awhile myself. Seem to be getting over it, but I still don't have the drive to buy every knife under the sun when I already got my bases covered with what I got already.

So what is the story behind some of the names you folks got for your knives? I see there are a few that name them like I do and give em lady names. Here is the rundown of the names on mine:

BK02: Winona. IF you were to have watched the series Farscape (sci-fi space nerdy stuff) you would know that the lead character named his pistol Winona. It was sleek, black, and sexy, and fits for the BK2.
BK03: Helga. It's a BK3, no real explanation needed there.
BK05: Selene. That lead character from the Underworld series. Sleek and sexy, and again, dressed in black. Hot vampire chick in a black leather bodysuit? Yes please. ;)
BK09: Brigitte. Nielson more specifically. Cause she is a huge broad. Also, she was the original Red Sonja. And that was pretty hot.
BK10: Jennifer. Named for Jennifer Connelly, because, like Jennifer Connelly, I think it is a great knife, but I refuse to use it, just like I think Jennifer Connelly is a great actress, but I refuse to watch any movies she is in thanks to her role in Requiem for a Dream. I swear, if they showed that movie in schools instead of the boring anti-drug crap they show, they would have much better results.
BK14: Sara Jean. One of the hosts on G4, Sara Jean Underwood. She is tiny and cute, into all the same stuff you are, and frequently nekkid. (She also models for Playboy.)

So that is the rundown there. What about the rest of you reprobates?
