This a pattern that I don't carry much lately, but have in the past. The CRKT Seahawk in ATS 34 pictured in the group shot below spent a lot of time in my pocket a couple of years ago... These blades excel at cutting rope and cordage, and are not so good for some other tasks.. A.G. Russell recently came out with this great looking hawk which got my interest.. If you got them , please post them!

Ontario has also come out with this low cost example (the wood grip) that I picked up recently (BTW that white handled Pakistan Bear Hunter with a solingen blade is sharp, sharp, sharp!):

The Hawk makes short work of the fabric, this is important in survival situations!

I've been looking for a hawkbill that do some work in the garden with me. I think I'm going for the SAK Pioneer Harvester.

That white hawk looks good! Tell me more please :)

I'm not sure I think that hawk can cut fabric, you should give it a whirl and post more pics :)

Opinel has a gardening hawk that is pretty nice. I gave my mother one a couple years ago, she still uses it. The Bear Hunter hawkbill (white grips) comes from a company that I don't know much about.. Their blades say both "Pakistan" and "Solingen".. The Bear Hunters that I have handled are pretty well put together. Like I say, that hawk has and maintains, a wicked edge..

On the fabric, I think that I will have to do some field research and report back;)

How does the S&W compare to the CRKT. I've been thinking about getting one of those for an edx fixed blade.
