I love the history behind the various bayonets and thought it would be great to put a lot of information together in one place. Please post your pics and keep all discussions to the topic of bayonet designs, uses, and history or modifications.

That's really awesome! I wish I had the scabbard for mine. Mine was recovered from a flooded basement with no scabbard in sight.
 
I know its not even remotely unique, but it does carry history. Mine didn't fit, and I had nothing else to do with it.

Im not a bayonet expert but from what I understand it that mine was the length of yours then for WW2 they cut them down and reissued them. You can see that the fuller goes the full length on mine.
 
Yes, as I was told the respective armories began shortening them near the end of the first world war... they were sent back to their original factories and were reground to be reissued to new service members. That's how it was told to me... but I notice the 1943 on yours and want to know more now.
