I'm interested in them and there is not too much info out there on the web so lets see some pics!

Not a Melon sampler in the traditional sense, but the kind of knife I use to sample and than eat a melon:

(I sure hope to see some knives that meet the criteria better, and are more interesting than mine :D)

Great Eastern Cutlery makes one called the melon whittler with your main blade being the long melon sampler and then the two smaller blades found on whittlers. it also comes with an optional wharncliff main blade. i'm contemplating getting the wharncliff model. http://www.knivesshipfree.com/89-Melon-Whittler

sometimes (usually) not having enough discretionary income really sucks. that goldenrod smooth bone whittler is absolutely gorgeous.

My only sampler, I think this one was designed for fruit, pre 1973

A.G. Russell makes one in ATS-34 that looks like a nice sampler, and at a reasonable price too.

This is my only melon sampler :D Actually I have two and this is my left one. :p

reviving this thread to add to the melon testing. This is more of a wurst tester I guess, since it comes from Solingen. The brand is 'filus' but I don't know the maker, possibly herder or klaas. Stag knife, excellent fit and finish, shame the shield is glued rather than pinned, but otherwise impressive, nicely nested blades, good edge. Not sure if I will use it or not, the fact that it still has the old tag on it makes it more of a collectible, but then again it is a knife and it does want to be used.
