While I know this may have been brought up in the past, I can't recall anything recent.
I think it will be fun to see how everyone sharpens their knives!
I'll start
I use a paper wheel set-up. The grinder in my shop has protective guards which won't allow for any wheel to be installed over 8". It also doesn't allow for full contact all the way around the wheel.
So instead of getting another grinder I decided to just use my lathe
I used a 4" bolt with washers and a lock nut to secure the wheels. While it doesn't look like much clearance on the upper portion of the wheel....there is plenty and I can sharpen blades up to 10" with no problems!
Soooooo let's see what you guys are working with
