Just ordered an old Shrade Imperial Sodbuster (first sodbuster), never thought I'd be so excited about a folder but it's such a clean looking knife...
Show me your old school style woods folders-opinels, jack knives, trappers, svords, peanut and barlow knives, etc

I'll get things rolling with what is, IMHO, an essential old school-style slipjoint, the yellow Case trapper with cv steel:

Case sells more of these than any other model. It's a great woods knife.

By the way, for all things traditional, drop on by the Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades subforum. There's a great bunch of guys there. And as Bill Cosby used to say on "Fat Albert," if you're not careful, you just might learn something. :p

I'm not into traditional knives(edit: though there's a modded OP-8 wandering around my garage somewhere), but will occasionally carry one of my grandfather's slipjoints.
One of these actually belonged to my great-grandfather(who died in the 50's), and I got it out of my grandfather's pocket the day he died.

Love me some Ole slippies.... (though lately I've been toting a vic rucksack Not trad, but tough to beat)

RR: I'm liking that last pic:thumbup: But, I think that's a stockman....

I carry my CV Case Jack everyday.

The pic is from when I first got it. It's looking a little, well lets say a little more used nowadays:

CV stands for chromium vandium.. IT;s case's egendary Carbon steel.... Honestly I'll take flack for saying this but I can;t tell the difference between it and 1095.....Takes a wicked edge, and is easy to sharpen..I just got an ole camillus ROughcut stockman... IT;s a dandy... Got a Good deal on it from a friend here on the trad forums....Most of the kabars and camillus you find today can be pricey...

A medium Schrade stockman. This one was a gift from RescueRiley:

I have several other's but those two seem to see the most use currently.

Lately, this one has been the most common woods companion (but not the only one, others get in the rotation, too):
