Posting photos? I apologize, but I cannot find a guide on how to post photos.

I try to use the "insert image" option in the post box, but the image loading fails every time. I'm assuming it might be a size problem but I cannot find a "posting photos on bladeforums" tutorial thread. I just paid for a gold subscription this morning, is it necessary to be a paid member to post? Am I just in that awkward waiting for my paid subscription to become official time period. I found this thread, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/455896-Image-Editing-Tutorial, very awesome, gonna study that, but I cannot find out how to get something like 10 images of a RIT dye job I did to my BM 950 rift on here.

Thank you for any help or advice.
Keith

Hey Keith. You don't need to be a paid member to post pics. It's actually really simple. A lot of us like to use photo hosting sites like photobucket, imgur, flickr, etc.

Just create an account with one of those and you'll be ready to go in no time. Snap your pic, upload it to whichever site you prefer, and copy and paste the IMG tag.

Like grownstar said. I like photoucket, its free. Get the app for your phone and if you take pictures with your phone they will automatically be uploaded to photobucket. Then you go to photobucket and the pictures will have some options on the right. you copy the IMG stuff and post it in your thread! Easy!! GL

OK, I understand that, but does that mean that bladeforum does not host photos themselves? I HAVE to use an outside photo hosting site for images here?

BF will if you get a paid membership. Otherwise, I do not believe they are in the free photohosting biz.

I see you said you paid for a Gold membership. Good for you.

Be sure to update your usergroup so you have access to all the perks that Gold gets ya (posting photos, selling in the exchange, asking how much your knife is worth lol)

Thanks for the info. Where would I find the instructions on how to do that?
