Ok, bear with me on this one... i may not be the most computer savy person in history, however i cannot seem to post pics and i'm in need of a little assistance. what's the best way to go about it? i've tried to "attach" them as a file and it doesn't seem to do the trick, so do i have to do a "photobucket" type thing or is there an easier way?

any hepl would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

This should answer your question.
I used PhotoBucket today, and it worked fine.

These steps have always worked before:

Posting Pictures - Photobucket

Open a free account at www.photobucket.com (or some other free web-hosting site)

"Upload" pictures from your computer/device to your Photobucket account using Photobucket "browse" button.

In your Photobucket "library" locate a picture you want to post here, and left click on it.

A menu of links will appear to the lower right.

Clicking on the IMG link will do a "copy" of the link.

In a post to this thread, use "paste" to put the IMG link in the post. The picture will then appear to everyone.

Brilliant! i'll try it out tonight when i get home... i know it seems simple, but i hate computers and have no idea what im doing with them.

Much appreciated

Royce

Go to photobucket and click on the picture. Then you'll see off to the right a series of links,4 I believe. highlight the IMG link and copy it, then just simply paste into the text in your post.

I did find the IMG link I copied it and dragged it over and entered it to my post in knife makers gallery I think it worked but I think I may have done something wrong,if you could take a look at it and let me know if I did something wrong I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks,Scott

Okay just went to your post and you're close. When I clicked on the link in your post It takes me to Photobucket. from that page if you look at the picture off to the right you have 4 links. Copy and paste the bottom one into your post as I did.

I was playing around in Photobucket and noticed my original post had been locked, did I do something wrong?

You didn't do anything wrong but you might have locked it yourself. In any case I unlocked it for you. To lock/unlock a thread click the administrative tab on the top of the first post.

When you click on the link in your other post that should take you to a Photobucket page showing your picture, is that correct?

You should see a page that looks like this

cc74ed7db596d4f64428a9753055272b_zpsd926c25b.jpg

From there off to the right side copy the IMG link. Then post it here in your thread

Cool,Thanks I thought I was getting banned right away.lol

I looked up a web site on how to post photos from Photobucket to a forum and I was able to IMG and right click on it and have copy pop up like they showed but it seems to be a dead end for me because I can't get it to copy to my post ,is there anything else I need to do?

If you highlight the IMG link and then copy it all you need to do is paste it in the text of your post here. You won't see the picture until you actually post the reply.

I much appreciate your patients with picture posting issue I am having but I have been playing with another post in the knife makers gallery of a bird and trout knife what I wound up doing is highlighting the IMG and dragging it out to to my computer screen and dragging it back into the post and it seemed to go in correctly but I'm really sure,so if you would take a look when you get a chance and let me know I would be much appreciative.

Thank you,Scott

Your way seems overly complicated but it works and looks fine.

As I said above if you copy and paste the IMG link to the right of your picture it will show here. If you quote my posts you will see how simple it is.
