Posting pictures the right way.

This is a quick tutorial for posting or (imbedding) pictures on the forum.

First off I apologize if this has been explained before or is common knowledge to some but it seems like a lot of people could use this info. I'm not criticizing anyone. I just want to show people an easier way as well as make it easier for others to see pictures.

I know we all love pictures on this forum but hate it when theres a dead link or clicking on a picture takes us to another website. The last one is worse if you're on a cell phone, which I am most of the time.

Here we go.

When most people upload a picture to a site like Flickr or Photobucket, they get several url links to choose from depending on how they want to share the picture. If you dont get many options I suggest joining a free site like Photobucket.

What most people do is use a url code that is not the IMG code. If you do it those ways, it directs people away from the forum which can get annoying. Also, people can see ALL your other private pictures that are on your account. Instead, I suggest posting the "IMG" (short for image) url link code. Which imbeds the image onto the post so that when it is clicked, it just pops up the image on the screen and shows the full size of the image. Like this

The code starts and ends with [ IMG ].
(Except without the spaces between the letters and brackets)

While paid members can upload pictures directly from their computers, anyone can open a photo hosting account.
I use www.photobucket.com . Download your pictures to the account and they give you a URL for each picture.
Use the fourth URL choice, with the tags already in place. Copy & Paste that in your post here.

After uploading, select the BBCode option - it starts with [IMG]. Copy. Paste. Enjoy.

Why can't we use tapatalk to host our photos anymore? They came out fine on the forums and don't go to another page.

You know, thats a great question. I'm not sure why. I used to do it that way but i noticed as well a while back that we werent able to. Id honestly rather do it that way.

Ya that would be great. Makes taking than posting/hosting photos really easy.
