I replied to a question in "general knife discussion" and a received a message that my reply would not be posted until reviewed by a Moderator. I have been able to post other replies in different sub forums. What am I missing, or is this normal for people that are new to this forum?

We have a spam review process that blocks some posts that it thinks might be spam. We check this "moderator queue" regularly and approve the honest posts that got caught up.

Keep in mind it is software meaning they have some type of algorithm they have programmed. A short post with a direct link sometimes triggers a post that will be stashed until one of us hits a a couple of buttons and then once we select and read it send it on it's way.

I am sure it is frustrating to be caught up in it when all intentions were good. It is clunky, but it also does stop a lot of garbage that we would rather not see here or anyplace else in many cases. ;)

Ok so I just approved two more of your posts.

I think that algorithm has something against ya big time.

No worries though, we will not hold that against you. :)

No.... no. I was more curious than frustrated. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to a FNG. I appreciate it. :)
