I noticed yesterday that when I post a video, it only shows the link instead of embedding the video.
Is this some kind of issue with the forum or am I doing something wrong ?
I'm using the "insert video" button

Example

Copy the link and then place it inbetween these brackets link here to the video you want to display
In the second bracket, put a / before video.

Hope this helps. Sweet video by the way!

Try using video tags instead of "insert video".
and the same with the / after it.

This is with the video tags that I use and the link that you provided. Which link did you use?

In the embedded video above, I copied the link at the top of the browser after I went to the actual video on YouTube.

typed by hand
button

Same link as Benchwarmer used

EDIT: Doesn't seem to work
Here's what I see in the editor

Its really weird, because I've posted videos before and I didn't have that issue

The brackets are correct.

I must have misspoke.
When i usedthe link you provided and got the same thing as you, only the link displayed.

In the successfully embedded video i used this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSMCfPASImQ&feature=youtu.be&app=desktop
This is the link in the address window at the top ofthe browser.
Make sure your browser is in Desktop mode, it wont work with the link provided while in Mobile.

The link you initially used is the one provided to Share on social media. Doesnt work with the brackets.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/OSMCfPASImQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This is the link provided in the Share section under Embed. This one wont work with the brackets either.

There maybe a way to get them to but i dont know it.

That link is HTML. It won't work here, even with brackets.

You're using "youtu.be" instead of "youtube.com"

Copy the long ink directly from the url field in your browser instead of using YT's "Share" link. It doesn't work with the forum tags.

Should be "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSMCfPASImQ" and not "https://youtu.be/OSMCfPASImQ"

ETA: What benchwarmer said.

^^^ Yeah, I just pasted the second longer link using the BF video tag button. This works!

Funny, I was watching a rowing vid and wanted to 'share' it with my friends via email two days ago. I used Youtube's 'share' feature to copy it.... None of them could view it. "Video not available"

I copied the url from the browser (desktop chrome) and it worked. Strange.
