Postings Not Showing Up

Hi,

I have a general question and appreciate any help in advance: I am a new member and have paid for Gold Membership. Whenever I try to post or start a new thread I get a message that reads " your post will not be seen until moderator approval" and then there is a delay (several hours or overnight) until I can see my post. Is there any way to get posts to show up instantly?

No. When a moderator sees the problem, he can fix it. You posted at 7:27 and I just saw and approved it now. About a half hour.
 
So there is no way to get my posts to show up instantly like everyone else? How am I supposed to participate if there is always a delay???
 
As moderators, we have no control over what gets put in the moderation queue. I just approved 9 posts. Some yours, some for two other members.
 
Does this happen to everyone? What do I need to do so that I can just post like everyone else?

It happens to most if not all new posters. The mods don't know what algorithm the forum software uses to tag posts as being at risk of being spam. Seems to vary from user to user as to how many posts they have to post before the software considers them safe.
 
So basically what you are saying is that I need to be super active until the software deems me safe?
 
I'm just trying to post often in the hopes that I will be deemed "safe" and not a spammer...

No it does not happen to everyone. In fact, if there is a known history of malicious behavior assoxiated with the IP address you happen to have at thw time of your posting, that would create the need for the software to moderate your post. It happens, but not often. It is a safeguard to prevent spam from inundating forums, manu forums in fact employ this same safety measure. Has nothing with bring super active either.
 
Is this why my bladeforums stops working when I try to start a new thread?

If so, im sorry to the Mod(s) who now have all 8 of my same threads waiting in their que...
 
I am having similar issues with posts not going to into count, and after a quick look around I found this thread. I do plan to get a subscription too mainly for PM privileges.
