For some reason my posts are not showing up in the for sale section. I tried to bump a post with a price drop on it once last night and again this morning. For some reason when I open the for sale - folders forum, the posts don't seem to be sorting by the newest post - even though the other forums appear to be. Any ideas as to what's going on? Thanks.

I asked the same question a while back, turns out they disabled the bumping in the sale threads. Too many people want there item on the first page.

Thanks for the info. As to the other issue: any ideas why that forum would not be showing posts in order - ie look down the last post column and today's dates/times and yesterday's dates/times are scrambled.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what your saying but here goes, when a new for sale post is created it is on page 1 at the very top of the list. When someone creates another new sale thread it pushes the older ones down, when a buyer posts in a sale thread it does not bump the thread to the top of the list on page 1. The only way to be on top of the list is to be the newest created sale thread. The discussion forums are different in that any post in the thread will bring it to page 1. Hope that helps.

The sort order of that forum is now based on the date/time of the first post only.

You can bump all you want and the order of the thread on the forum will not change.

Your for sale post will drop in the list each time a new thread is added to the forum.

I don't sell a lot, but if I do post a thread and don't get interest after a couple of weeks, I'll close that thread and then open a new thread.

An the thread originator, and a paying member, you can close your own posts via the thread tools, administer option.

Exchange threads don't bump, but after 14 days, you can abandon the old post with any items left unsold and relist them in a new thread.

I added that information to the list on the Exchange Rules page, thanks for the reminder.
