How many of you ever type posts or replies, re-read them and decide, "Nah!", or save them to reconsider after the heat of the moment dies down?
I estimate that over 50% of mine never get posted, because they are too smart-butt, curt, grouchy, or just not pertinent. Even then some of them get through that I later regret. What brought this on was a reply over in the 1911 Forum political sub-forum that I spent ten minutes preparing, reconsidered, and killed.
I suppose that I try to apply the old axiom, "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth (or keyboard) and remove all doubt." I also try to never type anything that I wouldn't say to someone face to face.
Still, I fear that I've been a little bit of a grouch lately on various forums. maybe it's age, or the fact that this has been a particularly vexing tax season for me. Whatever, I've got to try to stay more upbeat.
