Thanks to an AWESOME Busse HOG looking out for me, a minor grail of mine arrived today. :thumbup: Thank you!!! (I won't name names unless he wants to out himself)

Without further ado, I present to you, the legendary Busse Leprechaun Duty!!! :p :cool:









And a close-up of that dead-gorgeous green linen micarta. :D I never have figured out why they stopped making this stuff? Definitely one of my favorite Busse handle materials! :thumbup:

Yup...I agree, it has a lot of depth...

Thanks guys!!! I love this blade!!! While I have plans to use it for hunting, it would also be great for an EDC.

Just measured her. 0.195" thick. A little on the chunky side for a blade of this size with a saber grind, but certainly no Railroad Spike (those were like 0.380!!! :eek:).

About the only thing I would have changed if I'd had the choice, would have been to do a full-flat grind on this one. Otherwise, she's perfect! :D

ETA: Weight is 185g (6.53oz)

Tore down some boxes for recycling with the AD today, and was messing around with it outside too. I think I'm in love... :eek: :D

Last night, I scrubbed the handles down with Dawn and hot water, dried them, and then lightly oiled them with some food-grade mineral oil. I then wiped them dry with an absorbant rag, and now the green linen has darkened nicely and looks fantastic!!! :cool: Call it rapid aging. ;)
