Potential JK Knives

Hello All,

From time to time, I think up knife designs, or combinations of existing models, and just have to sketch 'em out.

I drew this up a while back and it is about time to cut out some card board and send it up to John.

It has a blade with an elongated profile similar to the Trapline (seriously fantastic design on that one, Sean), with a slightly longer and different handle. It will get a lot of use in the kitchen and during deer season.

Anybody else have a potential JK that they would like to share?

Looks nice, what thickness are you thinking?

I'm thinking 3/32" with a full height grind and a nice thin distal taper.

Still debating on handle material. Have it narrowed down to black micarta, torched oak, osage, or ironwood. or or or....:D

I like that one Cooper. I also have a design brewing that I would like to have made this year. Possibly for Fall Gathering delivery.

nice design, Cooper, it's fun to sketch out the ideas I think, can't wait to see it made either

Thanks, Jeff. I am looking forward to seeing what you will come up with.

Very cool design Cooper!

Thanks, Sean. Notice the gentle slope from butt to tip, that is inspired in large part by your Trapline.

Thanks, Peter.

I need to remember to stop pitching the beer boxes so I have some card board.:D

Cool Coop -

I do like knives that have that curve of the spine from the handle downward - think Izula - that really puts the leverage point onto the edge, at least in my relatively inexperienced hands.

I like the look of the design.

The three knife thread that Mykel started has me thinking - thanks Mykel lol....

best

My submission for this years design a knife contest is the only thing I've drawn up lately.

I like the curve of the spine on yours also Cooper. (the tool was supposed to have more butt to tip curve to it also, but got lost in translation.)
