Hello fellow cold steel enthousiasts

does cold steel ever consider making pouches for their knives?
One of the main reasons i turned to cold steel is because of the awesome tri-ad lock. but it has one weak point imo and thats lint form your pocket. nothing so embarracing as taking out your cold steel in front of people who you told this lock wont fail and than turns out you cant fully open your knife because dust or lint stops it from closing completely.

so as cold steel makes a lot of indestructible stuff, maybe they can turn their attention of making some realy nice pouches.

as for me i dont carry CS around in my pocket anymore, i use pouches made by oher brands to carry my cs
this way is never have to worrie about the lock and i can still use the wave on my spartan , ak47 and talon.

anybody any thoughts on this subject

ps...offcourse other back locks suffer from this as well...but my guess is...the tri-ad is something special and i think apreciated in the CS community more than in other brands

They did offer belt sheaths or pouches for the Lone Star Hunter and Mackinaw folders a few years ago.

However, I must point out that it is just as important to check and clean folding knives, just as much as it is to keep them sharp.

didnt someone jam a bunch of yarn into the lock to see if it would still lock and i seem to remember it did....

curious, how much lint did it take to stop the tri-ad from a solid lock up?

custom made kydex belt sheath might work for ya?

it took a little piece of woll about 2 by 3 mm.

i keep my knives clean ( exept the ultimate hunter wich cannot be opened by me without damaging it) but stuff get in there...and i never check if my knife is clean before i open it... that may happen once in 20 times

an dthanks jb but ive got some cusyom puches to. pouches enough and lots of friends who do things in leather ;-)
