I'm gonna powder coat my first blade tommorrow. Did a few test runs on some scrap looks good so far. Tommorrow will be the test.

I have done a lot of powder coating.

It is a nice tough finish.

Good Luck!

Make sure your oven is preheated

Make sure you metal is totally degreased and dry

Spray the powdercoat and put it on with a lite dusting and go over it a couple of times.

Take it into the sunlight and make sure you can not see any metal

If there are any clumps or bumps, brush off the powdercoat and do it again.

When you get a smooth coat make sure the powder coat does not touch anything

Put in oven and start timer. It usually takes about 20 minutes.

It will turn shiny and time about 20 minutes after that point.

When time is done turn off oven and open door and let it cool.

One it is cool it is done.

BTW any sharp corners will chip off so make sure your corners are rounded.

I would be interested to see your results. I have a powder coater and have been thinking about doing this myself.
