The powder coating on my Black XLTi Titanium Buck is slowly wearing off and I would like to know if it can be re-coated. I can't understand why it's wearing off since I barely use it. Will Buck do this for me or is it something I'll have to live with?

Stu,
The blade would have to be replaced. It is not a process which allows touch ups. The coating is pretty durable but it will, eventually wear.

Stu,
I have no idea what BTTT means althought i can guess its not very nice.
I would recommend that you send your knife in attention Joe Houser (thats me) and it will be sent back to you all better and at no charge. Don't ask me how, cause i don't know yet, but I will make it right!

Take care,

BTTT means Back To The Top.

I'm not pushy, or impatient, but I was worried that my question would go un-noticed due to it's falling off the board.

And BTW, (By The Way) Thank you so very much. I think I may take you up on your offer.

OK, Mr. Houser, tomorrow I shall go to the Post Office and send you my knife. Should I send it to the warranty performance address below?

Buck Knives, Inc.
1900 Weld Boulevard
El Cajon, CA 92020

Stu,
Just don't use the name Buck knives. It is
too risky due to dishonest postal service employees. I always use B.K. Inc. and the
El Cajon postal employees have no problem with knowing I mean Buck Knives, Inc.
The problem is not in El Cajon, but with other crooks in between here and there who
have sticky fingers.

I just had my first experience with a knife stolen by the USPS. It was an inexpensive Buck 110, so I didn't insist on insurance from the seller. The package arrived safe and sound with only a tiny tear on one edge... just big enough to slip the knife out and into a pocket. I REALLY hate when that happens......

Stu,
I agree with Larry's advice. If it is not too late, send it to my attention. I want to take care of it personally.

Take care,

I sent it on Saturday to:

B. K., Inc.
1900 Weld Boulevard
El Cajon, CA 92020
Attn: Joe Houser

Insured it for $100. Let me know if you get it alright. First time I've sent a knife through the mail, so it makes me a bit nervous.
