Powder Inlays in Steel

I’ve searched quite a few places and while I can find all kinds of information for doing various Metal and stone powder inlays for wood using CA glue, I’ve yet to find anything about doing a powder inlay in steel. I’m curious if anyone has tried this here and what your results were? How dependable is this and what binding agents did you use? I’ve just completed my first hand engraving and while I had originally set out to do a wire inlay I started thinking about other possibilities. I happen to have a pretty big Ruby I wouldn’t be opposed to crushing into powder as well as all kinds of other metal powders like copper, brass, silver and a small amount of gold. Just bouncing ideas and seeing if anyone has experimented down this road?

Thanks in advance!
