Where's the best place to buy a power hammer in the states? Been looking at a Anyang 25kg/55lb or a 40kg, 88lb. Any use Powerhammers.com? It's a lot of money to spend on a website but I can't find any reviews or info. I looked into Ken" Custom Iron but I really think I want a self contained hammer and don't want to deal with compressor issues or compressor noise. Coal Iron Works has a self contained hammer coming out but no real info on the production version yet. The Anyang 25 or 40 is the best option available now in my price range. Thoughts?

Good morning, Michael. Where are you located?
I'd look into whatever local blacksmithing organization you have nearby and talk to some of the older members. Most the folks I know with power hammers acquired theirs from other smiths.

Good idea. I've looked online and on facebook market place. A lot of the used hammers for sale need work or rebuild and I'm not sure I know enough to do that.

Occasionally folks will hold a tire hammer building class... I think it's a good way to 1, get a new hammer and 2, learn all about your hammer and how to fix it.

Clay Spencer is/was one of the guys instructing the classes, so maybe getting a hold of him would be a good way to find out if classes are being offered... He's got a website where they sell the plans too, so if you're handy you might be bake to build one for yourself.
