Hope I am in the right place for this question, its my first time posting.

I have been thinking about a mobile knife sharpening business and need information concerning the proper size inverter and battery to run the three grinders that I may use.

Here are the grinders I have in mind.

Delta 1x42 belt grinder, 120 v, 6 amp, 60hz, 1/3 hp.

6 in bench grinder with 8 inch paper wheels, 120 v, 4 amp, 60hz, 1/2 hp.

Wet wheel grinder, 120 v, 1.1 amp, 60hz 1/4 hp.

I know I will need a good deep cycle marine battery but not sure what to look at for this application, same goes for the power inverter. If some of you do this could you please give me some ideas you may have on this subject or direct me to a place I can get help.

With the increase of gas price, this plan may wash out soon.

Thanks for any info.

With the high price of inverters and batteries, I wonder if a generator wouldn't be a more cost-effective power solution? Just wondering out loud. You've probably already though of that...
