SOG - you have convinced me on the compound leverage of the SOG. I received my Power Plier Thursday, Ti was all that available so thats what I ordered. Weekend before at a trout stream restoration project the competitors big tool I had could not grip and turn a cable clamp being installed for bank reinforcement.

When I opened the box, at first I was not certain the Power Plier was the right choice, the Ti coating was very bright and the tools hard to open/close. This weekend on a 'simple project' in the attic, the saw, phillips head, and compound leverage had me smiling even though the project was no fun. Great tool. The tools have loosened up.

Only issue so far is the bottle opener punctures the caps and takes two goes to remove the cap.

Are there other sheaths that are not as large?

Thanks for making a great product.

I have the TiNi Powerlock, and have learned that even though it's "pretty and shiny" it stands up!!!
I would think it should fit in a standard SOG nylon pouch.
Regards,
Rob

Hi M2fun,

Glad to hear your new SOG tool "saved the day." That's what we live for here!

Regarding the bottle opener, we have two versions of it that we've manufactured over the years. One is a combination can opener and bottle opener. It is sharp and can accidentally pierce a bottle (because it also needs to pierce a can), so it just takes a little getting used to. This version is polished. The other is a combination bottle opener with a medium screw driver on its tip. This one is not sharp and should open a bottle without piercing it and is a flat/mat gray color. My guess is that you have the former version.

The nylon sheath you are looking for is dual mounting (either mounting horizontally or vertically) and fits both the PowerPlier and the PowerLock. We refer to it at the "Large Nylon Pouch."

If you are interested in either the pouch or the other bottle opener, give us a call at: 888.SOG.BEST.
