Well i was woefully behind before the tornadoes hit the area, and losing power for near a week didnt help.... HOWEVER I am catching up and hope to be caught up by July/August.

There are MANY folks that have been extremely patient, so THANK YOU!!

A few Bowie pics, 11.5" x 2-1/4" 5160 blade, 16" overall, Black Walnut handle etc....

Nice looking knife! Great lines and sweet piece of wood.
Glad the electrons are flowing again. That tornado made a real mess down there.

Thanks all, no Raymond im in the Jasper, AL area. I sure felt like I was in Kansas last week!

Glad that you have survived the storms and are back up & running. This spring's weather has been challenging to say the least.

Great looking Bowie with some beautiful crotch walnut (at least it appears to be walnut). Always enjoyable to view quality work. Very nice & well done!

Gary, yes its some Black Walnut, came from a gun stock maker that sold his wood pile years ago. I have a bunch of that Walnut left, and its some amazing stuff, very tough, hard, stable etc... and that was about the plainest piece I had.

Nice Matt! All your work is so clean, love it!

Did ya kill a turkey bird yet?

I killed a Jake with the shotgun first day, will persue another with the Longbow for the rest of the season.

The nice thing about crotch walnut is not only the beauty but it is so much harder/tougher than the rest of the tree. Some of my favorite handle material! :D There's a good reason why it is used for high end gun stocks.

Hi Joe, no Patricks is a stag handled 11" Bowie with hamon, and will be wearing a Thad Rybka concealment sheath. Should have it wrapped up by monday, then a drive to TR's for the sheath.

thanks for the kind words all, im just happy I still have a house/shop standing, for those that dont know we had alot of folks down here get really hammered and lost everything.

Great looking bowie, Matt! Glad things are up and running again. I was wondering about you. Had a friend from Eutaw up here turkey hunting, and he had to dodge the storms going home that day. Good luck in catching up.

could you tell us the overall weight? That is a great knife, i love the flat grinds.

Glad you are safe Matt.
That bowie is spectacular. The long clip really sets it off.

Maine, the weight is 21.76 ozs. its not a light knife, but feels real good in the hand.

So glad your safe, Matt, scary stuff.
The walnut, the guard (is it ss), and that killer blade shape !
Great looking Fighting Bowie !
