Powers with Platinum Membership?

Hi Spark,
I was trying to delete a thread I started, no one else has added replys but it I'm not allowed to do so?

Of the drop down list, just Close Thread is the one option, the rest belong to higher up Admin folks?

Just trying to clean house, was a thread in the Wanted to Buy section that is no longer needed, figured I could delete it if no one else has posted. Can we get that permission?

No, even the moderators don't delete threads here at Bladeforums. As a Platinum Member you can close a thread you started; you can't delete other members' posts.

Of course it wouldn't necessarily be a terrible thing if it could be confined to threads in the Exchange section, but it couldn't be allowed in some forums and not in others; it's a system-wide power.

I suspect that a moderator could re-open such a thread too.

Thanks guys, just wondered about that, keeping a clean house type of thing is all, in another forum, photo forum, you can delete the thread if no one else has added to it, otherwise it remains.
