PPT, any tips on how to fix the one complaint I have?

I love the PPT. But I have one complaint. That being illustrated below. The red dot has a sharp corner to it, making it a bit uncomfortable when opening slowly. I have read threads on the forum, some alluding to "sanding" that point. Never done that before. Any tips on what grit, or any other ways to alleviate the issue?

Thanks so much.

What sharpening equipment do you have? It really doesn't take very much if all you want to do is soften the corner. When I get Spyderco's with a "sharp" edge on the hole I run a medium Spyderco rod around it until it softens up.

I'd mask off everything around the offending area with tape (to prevent scratching) and sand it using a diamond file or Dremel at low speed.

I am not all that familiar with that particular one, but if it's s30v, 600 grit sand paper will barely scratch it.

Thanks everyone!

I actually only have stones, no sharpmaker anymore, or rods. I couldn't quite get to it with a stone.

Good info. I think I am going to try the dremel. Thank you!

Did exactly this. Thank you! Worked perfectly. I masked it all off, and got it smoothed out. Realized, I never went off the mark and didn't even need the tape. I figured, "let me do a little touch up", and of course thats the moment I let the dremel wander and mar the blade a bit. lol. no worries. Its a user. And thanks to you, a thousand times more enjoyable now. Appreciate it.

My pleasure. Very fond of my PPT as well:thumbup:

Learned the masking part of it a bit like you've done ;)

Did it just now, hadn't noticed the problem before you posted though.. :D

Taped it up, but didn't need it
