We are putting the final touches on a very street oriented knife class that will be held on Oct.27 and 28 at the Prado Olympic Shooting Range, in Southern California. It will be $250. The instructors will tentatively include-The Strider guys, Steve Tarani, Ernie Emerson, Bram Frank, and Marc "Crafty Dog" Denny. We will also have product available from Strider, Emerson, and Spyderco. There should be a large law enforcement contingent in attendance, but it is an open class. I will post soon on reservation details, but I wanted to give you all a chance to mark your calenders. Hopefully with this event on the west coast and Cecil's on the east, there should be some real good training going on this fall.

Nyeti,

Do me a favor ...let me know when you firm up everything for this event and when you're going to be ready to take reservations, etc. Sounds like an interesting weekend...thanks in advance.

Hey Joe, I'll post the info on both this forum, and the Emerson forum, when I get everything firmed up on where to send reservation info. Based on the response I'm getting, this should be an awesome event.

Steve Tarani is a fellow Gunsite instructor, and i personally am convinced that he is not human. He is fast and dangerous and awsome, and combined with his integration of empty hand, edged, and gun into a seamless system makes him my first choice.
He is also a terrific student- the hallmark of a great instructor.

This should be a great class!

Hmmm, let's see....OH HELL YEAH!!!
Just depends on how far south, and if it's on a weekend, my military schedule is pretty full up during the week....

I know that this is off topic so I will be brief.

Did anyone else read STRIDER GUY'S and Bram Frank's names in the same post think GUNTING with a five inch blade made by STRIDER KNIVES? Just a thought.

Knife Thrower,
THAT would be some serious tricep ripping with SUCH a big opening for an Angle 1 or 2 shot...just a thought.

Where on the East Coast are you talking about? Also, are these two courses differant than the other one being spoken of by Duane? If it's anywhere near Ft Bragg, count me in as long as I'm not preoccupied someplace else I'm all for it.

I'd like to attend this course, now that I've gotten word of it. I just posed a question in a separate thread about a class on the East Coast. Will we be needing any specific equipment? Are you taking reservations?
