practice knife

Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone knew of a cheap knife to practice sharpening on with similar blade geometry to a M6 or RMD? I've never sharpened anything this thick before. I don't mind spending a few bucks on a "disposable" blade to practice on rather than using a new Rat, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.

I'm not sure about this but becasue SR knives are covex ground, they have no specific blade geometry. If I am wrong about this, somebody jump in and correct me.

I once had great anxiety about sharpening convex grinds. I asked Mike Stewart of Bark River Knives about my concerns and he said, in effect, just jump right in and don't worry about blade angles. I followed instructions found at the bark River Collectors Association and all has been fine.
