K so I'm new to BF and am practicing taking photos....comments please on the knives and the photos.

The first one is a small fighter I made for my sons b-day. Hand forged 1095, hamon, kydex sheath, stainless pins and home made micarta handle.

The next is a big game skinner, would be great to skin your bear, moose, elk! Hand forged 1095, hamon, brass tubing and African blackwood!

And the last is a recurve bowie. 14.5" OAL hand forged 1095, hamon, stainless tubing, home made micarta handle out of urban camouflage.

Let me know what you think!

nice-looking blades, and I like the temper lines you've brought out. the pics need more light though.

The knives look great. That homemade micarta turned out really nice.

I agree that the pics need more lighting and I suggest getting a little closer to the knife in some of those photos. When I take pics, which I am certainly no expert at, I try to fill the entire frame with the subject like you did in some of your pics.

Nice work and welcome to the forums!

Good looking blades. Like the others said, the pics need more lighting. Another thing you can do is look up some guides on composition. For the most part it is a very simple concept once you study it a bit. Also, some editing in photoshop can help make the worst photos look decent.
