I traded recently for one of your K4 Karda's in O1 with a boxelder burl handle. Beautiful knife only thing I would change is to have mosiac pins instead of plan brass. I really love this knife one reason is that it takes and edge better then any knife I own. This is as sharp as I have ever gotten a knife I used and edgepro Apex on the white dot up to the 3000 grit tape it is hair popping sharp even my OJ GW didn't get that sharp.
Now the question, this is the first O1 knife I have had, do you feel any of your other steels will take a better edge? I am thinking about ordering another K4 so would like to know whether to get another in O1 or try something else.

Thanks for the post, Chiller2!

Great question....O1 does indeed take a good edge. I can, however, get a better (read: more keen/fine) edge with 1095 and W2. But, I don't offer that on the smaller knives.

That said...I am looking into 13C26 - a stainless steel by Sandvik (excellent steel company). Should be capable of just as keen an edge as 1095, but stainless as well. I believe some toughness is lost...but there's always a trade-off. Should make a great high-performance stainless.
